President Anita Martin brought the meeting to order at 12:15pm. Pledge of Allegiance and 4 Way Test recited. Twenty-two Rotarians were in attendance plus 1 guest. One student Rotarian was also in attendance.
Emma (Lakeside Lutheran HS) recited the 4 way test.
Steve Cramer was inducted as the newest Rotarian.

Dean Westman gave his new member speech:
Born and raised in Minneapolis.
Has been married for 43 years to his wife Bonnie.
They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren plus anther one on the way.
Dean and Bonnie owned 11 houses.
Was in California twice for 20 years
Traveled with Delta for over 3 million miles.
Tried to retire 3 times and finally retired last April.
Loves working on projects.
4th generation live on the lake. 5 houses on the lake in the extended family.
Dean was an electrical engineer. Designed computer chips, semi-conductor design, sales and marketing
Dean feels that the Lake Mills Rotary Club is a group of dedicated people with a local community focus.

At Commons Park: dig a well. Water station on outside of bathroom building.

Lake Mills Rotary Club will be the sponsor of the June 3rd city band concert in Commons Park, in conjunction with the Optimists. Theme is “Schools out, summer’s here.” Concert begins at 7pm.
Town and Country Parade is set for June 27th. Rotary needs a volunteer coordinator for Rotary to participate in the June 27th parade. Janine F. volunteered. (please contact Janine at 920-220-9252 if you are interested in participating – example: driving an ATV/UTV and pulling the cart with the Rotary wheel, etc).
Board discussed sponsoring The Mill.
Motion made by Amy L. to sponsor The Mill for $1,000 for the 2026-2027 year. Second by Ed H. Motion carried.
Concession stand discussed at Board meeting on May 26th. Discussed signs, safe, lock, panini press. Request for funding for these items will be brought to the Rotary Foundation for consideration.
Next week will be Teachers of the Month and scholarship recognition. More than half of the scholarship recipients are planning to attend (and families). Two 2025 scholarship recipients are also planning to attend. Please make sure to make the guests feel welcome. Jenny M. has a fun activity planned.
