President Anita Martin brought the meeting to order at 12:15pm. Pledge of Allegiance and 4 Way Test recited. Twenty-two Rotarians were in attendance plus one Rotarian on Zoom. Eight student Rotarians were also in attendance.
Addison and Emma (Lakeside Lutheran HS recited the 4-way test. Clara and Brianna (Lake Mills HS) gave their speeches. Natalie and Kim (Lake Mills HS) and Elizabeth and Emma (Lakeside Lutheran HS) introduced themselves.

Announcements/Information:
Post prom volunteer schedule and baked goods sign up form was sent around the meeting. Drop off baked goods on Friday before 4pm at Countryside Jewelry or after 10pm on Saturday at bowling alley.
Thank you to the scholarship committee for their work on deciding the recipients of the Rotary scholarships.
Nine students from Lake Mills HS and 1 student from Lakeside Lutheran HS received a scholarship.
Lunch honoring the scholarship recipients will be at our noon meeting on June 2. This meeting will include recipients’ parents.

Sunshades for dugouts at Rotary Park

$1000 was previously approved by the Club
Could be up to an additional $800 to purchase all the needed sunshades for Rotary Park and add logo
Motion made by Ed H. to add up to $800 for cost increases of shades. (Total $1,800). Second by Brian B. Motion carried.
Foundation Board meeting was held on April 21.
Asking Club to allocate $825 to the emergency fund for the concession stand to keep at $3,000.
Board did not allocate funds.
Tabled discussion on 25% of concessions profit goes to Foundation. This will need a policy change.
This year’s budget does not have a line item for the Foundation
Chair of Foundation (Jim W.) will need to present a request.
Dues:
International dues are increasing for the next few years. Amy L. made a motion to increase dues by $5 per quarter to cover increases. Second buy Sandee M. Motion carried.
Concessions:
A spring/summer concessions plan for Mondays and Wednesdays was brought forward to the Board. The Board did not endorse this plan.
The Board set up a committee to come up with a plan to cover 2026 Spring/Summer concessions.
Digger at Rotary Park:
Cost to replace digger is $1,200. Amy L made a motion to approve $1,200 from the community project fund to cover costs. Second by Gerard S. Motion carried.
Road Clean Up:
Thank you to the road clean up volunteers.
Swing Choir from Lakeside Lutheran High School performed for the Club today. Thank you to the Swing Choir. Great performance.
