We reviewed the current sponsorship brochure and came to a couple of decisions.
In the past we accepted only 1 sponsorship at the highest level. WE will allow any number of sponsorships at each level
We are going to add a Diamond Level that is a sponsorship of $2,500 or more.
The new level will have prominent sponsorship recognition at multiple points throughout the run
Will receive 10 free race entries
Additional perks are yet to be determined
The Platinum level sponsorship will be revised to be prominent sponsorship at least one point throughout the race
This is not a complete list of perks, but these were agreed upon by the membership that was present.
Additional ideas/comments
Need to add the cause to the TSHIRT (Front)
Should we list all of the sponsors on the program? Only some of them? List them on the website? Should we have a spot when donating on the race page that allows the person to choose if the donation should be anonymous?
Noted that Dwight Heaney donated to the run and did not get recognition. May note that in the next year's run. Should Beth Heaney be invited to the Sponsorship event?
When signing up for the run, have a spot where folks can choose if they want to learn more about Rotary-and potentially ask them if they would like to donate to the Rotary Club
Perks of sponsors: Verbal acknowledgement, give the microphone to the main sponsors and allow them to talk for a minute-or read something from them as a promotion for them at the beginning of the run.
We are hoping that Ken and John can provide us with insights they got at the December 6th event they attended.
Currently need to update the Rotary website to include a new link for sponsorships as well as update the 2026 run website. Zach committed to doing this by the next meeting.
Zach will also provide a paper copy of the sponsorship brochure as a guide for folks at the sponsorship event (noting that it is a work in progress).
